Good News!
The boys, on a hike with the Morrow cousins
Our visas have been approved, and have arrived safely in our hands! We have a home to rent from a wonderful family, we have visas, and have tickets purchased for our departure from San Francisco on Tuesday, August 14th. Thank you all for praying with us for each of these important hurdles. God has clearly been guiding our steps as the house we are to rent is not one we even looked for and the visas were approved without any trouble –which we have been told is very rare in these types of circumstances. We are amazed at how God has smoothed out the path ahead of us in His perfect timing.
We are now working on the
school side of moving to Colchester. We are not entirely sure what this
will look like as the school closest to our house there (which has a great
reputation) is “oversubscribed” and does not have room for the boys. We
are also currently exploring different schooling options since the English
school system determines a student’s grade level strictly based on their age,
rather than previous years completed. Because of this, and other factors,
getting the boys into the right year according to their studies in the States,
as well as placing them all in the same school, is proving to be quite
difficult. When you think of it, please pray that God shows His clear
journey for Brodie, Jonah, and Graysen. Moving to a new country and
placing the boys in a different culture has caused us once again to try and
think outside the box. It will be interesting to see whether God’s plan
for the boys will involve a different school for one or each of them,
homeschooling for one or all, or some other option He will reveal. We are
excited and praying with expectation for God to clearly lay out the path
ahead. We know that though we have plans in our minds that we think might
be best, God will continue to direct our steps.
We are really enjoying our time
on the West Coast, visiting all the way from Klamath Falls, Oregon, down to San
Diego, before heading out just after the Olympics. We are grateful for
this time to see everyone, yet a bit sad as well, knowing that it will be
another year before we see many of our family and friends. We love you
all and are so thankful for you travelling this journey with us, through your
encouraging words, your prayers for God’s direction and timing, and for the
time you have cleared for us to spend with so many of you. Thank you for
being the dear special people you are.
